Mr & Mrs Logan - Rear extension allowed against Pembrokeshire County Council - Site at 118 Cromwell Road, Milford Haven
Following a planning refusal by Pembrokeshire County Council to extend his house and no offer of a compromise solution for any alternative scheme, Mr Steve Logan had to appeal to the Planning Inspectorate of the Welsh Assembly Government and used the services of local Chartered Town Planning Consultants and experts Hayston Developments & Planning Ltd.
Mr Logan said "I failed to understand this refusal, as it was sited to the rear of my property, was well designed and hidden by existing trees and hedgerows."
Director & Chartered Town Planner Mr Andrew Vaughan-Harries of Hayston Developments & Planning Ltd stated "A comprehensive case was put to the Inspector, indicating no harm was caused from the development". In the Inspector's decision letter by Mrs Sian Warden granting planning permission commented "The development would be well-designed in terms of siting, form, scale and relationship with the existing townscape characteristics. It would not adversely affect the character of the building or surrounding area and would therefore comply with policies of the Joint Unitary Development Plan." (January 2013)
